Jessica and Jason Tie the Knot!

A couple of weeks ago we posted some of Jessica's Bridal Formals,
now on to the Wedding!!

Last night was the Wedding of Jessica and Jason. The Wedding Ceremony was held in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on North Rampart St. right on the outskirts of the French Quarter in New Orleans.

A little history:

The oldest church building in New Orleans is the Mortuary Chapel, now called Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. This venerable little church located at the corner of North Rampart and Conti Streets, dates from 1826, a quarter of a century before the present St. Louis Cathedral was built.
It has had a most eventful history during the 175 years of its existence. It was built as a funeral church; beloved by Confederate veterans because of its rector, Pere Turgis, then a church for Italian immigrants; and still later a church for the Spanish speaking population. For the last half century it has been noted as a shrine dedicated to St. Jude.
Three times it has been temporarily abandoned - in the 1860's, in the 1870's and again in 1915 - and three times it has been returned to service. It is truly the church that would not die.

Jessica and Jason had some of the cutest little kids helping out with their Wedding!

After some transportation difficulties the Bride and Maid of Honor arrive. Jessie looks a little nervous, but as we all know, no Wedding ever goes off without a hitch.

Father Tony has to go down in history as the “coolest” priest
we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with!

By the end of the night it was clear that everything was going to be just fine.

Mendy and I just want to say:
“Congratulations and best of luck to you both.”

Tanya and Keith Wedding

Last night was the Wedding of Tanya and Keith – what a super couple! I know I say that a lot, but these two were really fun. Maybe it’s because they are a little closer to my age (sorry guys) then most other couples, but even the music selections at the reception seemed more enjoyable to me then usual! Mendy and I had a great time at this Wedding and we wish you both the very best in your lives together.
Thank you for letting us take part in it!

The Wedding and Reception were held at the Chateau Country Club in Kenner (LA).

They have a beautiful staircase in the entry way.

The Bride-to-be doesn’t look too nervous!
Some last minute touch-ups to the make-up before taking the formals. The first dance was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The song they selected was Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love.”

“My darling, I can't get enough of your love babe, I don't know, I don't know why, Can't get enough of your love babe Oh, some things I can't get used to No matter how I try.. Just like the more you give, the more I want, And baby, that's no lie.. Oh no, babe”

The Dance was very spirited and all the guests in attendance just loved it. You should have heard the cheers and applause. I told Tanya that I felt it was the very best first dance ever – she said they took dance lessons to be able to pull it off – which really paid off –

it was very unique and not something that they will ever forget. The Happy Couple – aren’t they cute!

This was a great Wedding and a great Party!
Again, best of luck to you both!

Jessica's Bridal Formals

This past weekend we had a great time – and in great weather out at the New Orleans City Park. Our Bride – Jessica – chose the location and it was a nice one!
Jessica’s Wedding will be later this Month – on the 26th. So there was no time to waste!

One of the challenges of location shooting is getting dressed and ready. As it turns out, finding a restroom isn't too easy either!
Jessica's friend (and Maid of honor) helped her strap her dress.

Here's our Star - the Bride - Jessica - she was really a good sport.

That's Mendy behind her - hard at work!

This is one of my favortes that Mendy took - nice work honey!

Here's one of mine that I like as well. At the end of the day, a good time was had by all. Photos of the actual Wedding will follow soon.
